Haven Special Needs Animals

We often have animals come into the shelter who are for one reason or another considered "handicapped".  Below is a letter and pictures from one family who has adopted two of these special dogs.  As the letter states, handicapped animals aren't a good fit for everyone, but if you are the kind of person who can make it work, there is no better feeling than knowing you are giving that animal a second chance at a better life!

Advises to Not ‘Look Over' Disabled Pets

Below are the pictures of the dogs mentioned in the letter.  Spud and Clyde were adopted from the Haven, and Eddy is the old hound who was fortunate to find a dear friend with which to spend the rest of his time at the Haven.
